I. Steps that have been taken were reviewed.
a. Staff read The Leader in Me
b. Leadership Team meets with Chad
c. Part of team meets with staff of Adamsville Elementary

e. Christy and Lauren trained on The 7 Habits
f. Counselors teach The 7 Habits to all students.
g. Awards given to students for leadership.
h. Beth, Kristi, Lauren, Christy attend Leadership Symposium in Athens (February)
i. Specialists write goals for each of the 7 Habits that apply in their class and displayed them outside their classrooms.
j. Beth secures bulletin boards for halls and lunchroom at PI
k. Leadership Team visits Priceville Elementary (April)
l. Create a measurable goal for the last trimester. (AR 40,000 points for third trimester) We are keeping a “compelling” scoreboard of the data on the goal.

i. Establish vision and mission statements
ii. Create “how to” videos for students – (restroom, playground procedures)

III. Future Steps for 13-14 School Year
a. Post leadership/inspirational quotes in various locations throughout the school.
b. WPIN will begin highlighting habits by doing short pieces on each habit. (Habit Hunter)
c. WPIN will begin highlighting books that feature a habit.
d. We will set 3 measurable goals. A format to use for a goal is: We will go from X to Y by when. Ex. – Achieve 1 million minutes of reading by March 1.

o Math / Dream Box goal
o Behavior or attendance goal
e. Teachers spend adequate time at very beginning of year on procedures (Harry Wong – First Days of School)
f. Students sign up for leadership roles (Rebekah and Christi will develop a list of student leadership roles.) ex. – Lost and Found Leaders, Vacuuming Leaders
g. Public Speaking Club
h. Data binders with goals (Dawn to coordinate)
i. Grade Level Programs for Parents / Open House
j. Change from helpers to leaders
k. Nurse to have display of 7 habits relating to health
l. Chris to teach students songs / Lisa and Chris to collaborate on songs for each habit
